North East Wales Search And Rescue (NEWSAR) have released details of a collision outside of Bala earlier today, including a video of the air ambulance.

At around 1pm this afternoon emergency services were called to an RTC (road traffic collision) on the A494, just north of Bala.

A car left the road and travelled around 20 metres down a slope.

The road was closed and diversions were put in place as emergency services attended the scene.

NEWSAR said: “One of our team members arrived very shortly after a serious Road Traffic Collision had occurred on the A494 just north of Bala.

“He assisted the Wales Air Ambulance, Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Police with his skills learned as a member of NEWSAR.

“The casualty was in a difficult to reach location and our team member helped to extract them and load into the Air Ambulance”.

NEWSAR also have uploaded this amazing video of the Helicopter take off:

The NEWSAR service is made up of volunteers team members and they do not receive any payment for providing this service to the Police. You can read more about fundraising and donation to NEWSAR via this link.
