Residents across Wrexham are experiencing a second night of hearing ‘loud bangs’ and explosions across the town.

For the second night in a row Wrexhamites around the town centre are hearing loud bangs and ‘explosions’ – particularly around the Hightown area.

Last night a number of loud ‘explosions’ and bangs could be heard across Wrexham, with some stating that fireworks were being let off and others putting the noise down to a car back firing.

Given the incident involving a car being damaged by a shot gun on Wednesday evening, many people raised concerns that a similar incident could be taking place in Wrexham for a second night.

We’ve since spoken to North Wales Police querying if there had been any further reports / incidents of gunshots in the Wrexham area overnight.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed that they had not been alerted to any further incident.
