The Council have announced Wrexham Museum, Archives and Courtyard Cafe on Regent Street will close to the public on Saturday 4th November.

The Archives will close a day earlier on Friday 3rd November.

The closure is so “work can begin to prepare the building” for the football museum redevelopment and museum refurbishment. The Council have said the project, rumoured to be in the region of £11,000,000 , is on track to be completed in 2026.

Pop up style museum locations are due in that period of redevelopment, with the old library on Queen’s Square likely to be one such venue.

Wrexham’s Archive services will have a ‘brand new’ permanent home in Wrexham Library. The opening of the new search room will be announced shortly along with opening times and how to access the records.

The museum cafe is having a temporary home in Ty Pawb.
