A local musician has told us about his new releases and how he hopes local charities will benefit when they drop.

Anthony Bozzola, aka Tha Bozz, will donate 99p from every sale of his upcoming mix-tape ‘Yes I Can Part 1’ to Nightingale House Hospice. Over the next few months Bozz will be releasing a trio of albums, donating some of the proceeds from each sale to various charities.

Tha Bozz said, “I have chosen to support Nightingale Hospice for the very simple reason that I believe it’s a great cause. I feel like sometimes people tend to forget how hard people at places like Nightingale work and how important these peoples hard work is to so many people.

“I’ve been recording and preparing this mix-tape for almost a year and I just hope that people hear the effort that’s gone into it and more importantly enjoy what they hear.””

The mix-tape also features bonus content and a live lounge video, which was performed to an intimate audience at the BBC studios at Glyndwr earlier in the year.

Originally from Cardiff, Tha Bozz moved to Wrexham four years ago to study Media Communications at Glyndwr University, and has since become well-known for his music in the town. ‘Yes I Can Part 1’ is largely inspired by his experiences since graduating.

“The songs are a bit scattered, which is how my mind was at the time” said Tha Bozz, “I was unemployed, I had just left university and was doing a lot of this on the side.

“I think the hunger definitely comes across in the music, inspiration comes from different places.

“I’m very happy with the mix-tape, this one is good but the next two will be even better.”

The lead single off the mix-tape Police Cars was inspired by his time living in Wrexham, with the video shot in places across the town. Throughout the video locations such as the job centre, The musician also pays homage to the Racecourse, a venue that has become close to his heart since moving to the town.

“I’ve adopted Wrexham as my home, and I’ve always been proud to say I live here.” said Tha Bozz.

The Mixtape will be available to purchase on July 5 from http://thabozz.bandcamp.com/ and will cost £3.99. With 99p from each sale donated to Nightingale House Hospice.
