The Wrexham AFC Disabled Supporters Association is £2416.85 closer to their goal of building new wheelchair viewing platforms at the Racecourse.

Funds were raised at a curry night dubbed ‘Mills and Bhuna’ at the Anise last month.

Gary Mills and team players attended the event and helped to raise funds in various ways including a raffle and an auction.

The event was organised by Steve Gilbert Vice Chair of the DSA and Andrew Atkinson, Conservative Assembly Candidate for Wrexham and Robb Golam from the Anise.

Mr Atkinson said: “It was an amazing event and we are so grateful to the Anise for donating 100% of the food takings on the night, it was an incredible gesture and made a huge difference. Steve Gilbert did a great job and the evening went off really well, without a hitch, everyone loved it.”

Robb Golam added: “We were very pleased to help and wanted to help since Andrew approached us with the idea, the club were fantastic and it was a real buzz to have the players and Gary Mills in the restaurant for such a great cause. Steve Gilbert has been great to work with and his passion for the club and the cause is fantastic.”
