Man stopped for not wearing a seatbelt turned out to be a disqualified driver!

A Wrexham man stopped by police for not wearing a seatbelt has been charged with driving whilst disqualified.

North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit say that a member of the team was on routine patrol in the town yesterday afternoon when he spotted the driver of a Citroen van driving without his seatbelt.

The man was stopped and found to be a disqualified driver. He was subsequently arrested and his van was seized.

He has since been charged with driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

The man will appear before Wrexham Magistrates on Thursday 19th October.
