Man found ‘hiding in a ditch’ arrested on suspicion of drug and dangerous driving after ‘excellent teamwork’ from police

North Wales Police have praised teamwork that saw several separate units work together to arrest a man last night.

The Roads Policing Unit have published the above and below images, saying: “An excellent night for teamwork tonight, RPU officers had the vehicle fail to stop for them in the Wrexham Town area, short pursuit & the vehicle crashed shortly after in Sontley area, assistance with NPAS, LPS Wrexham Town and of course PD Fiona who found the driver after he ran from the crashed car, he was hiding in a ditch.”

They describe the man arrested as being “very muddy and very wet”. The individual was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The police added, “Excellent teamwork all round, just shows what we can do together!”

The police helicopter was up overhead in the area from around 11:20pm giving support to ground units:
