Man cut free from car following crash near Posthouse Roundabout

A man was cut free from a vehicle following a crash near the Posthouse Roundabout this afternoon.

Firefighters from Chester and Cheshire Police were called to the incident involving a car and a HGV on the A55 westbound near the shortly after 2pm.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service say: “On arrival at the scene the team found that there had been a collision between a car and a HGV and one person was trapped in the car as a result of the collision

“Police officers closed the road to make the area safe and firefighters crews used specialist cutting equipment to release the man.

“He was then passed to the care of Ambulance service and taken to hospital.”
