Man charged with wounding three police officers in Wrexham

A 39-year-old man has been charged with wounding three police officers.

John Mealin, of no fixed abode, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday 7 November after being charged with three offences of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an incident on Market Street in the centre on Monday 6 November.

Police say that he was also charged with dangerous driving, driving with no insurance and disqualified driving.

Mealin was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Mold Crown Court on December 8.
