Man ‘Brandished Knife’ At Wrexham Convenience Store

An investigation is under-way after a man ‘brandished’ a knife in a convenience store in Wrexham last night.

Police were alerted to a robbery at a convenience store on Churchill Drive in Wrexham at 5.53pm on Thursday January 1st.

A man described as white and in his mid-30’s of medium build and with dark cropped hair entered the shop and refused to pay for tobacco when asked to.

He then brandished a knife at staff before making off with the item. No one was hurt during the incident. The offender who had a bruise under one eye, was wearing a black or navy jumper with white stripes on the sleeves and dark trousers.

Crime Scene Investigators have attended the scene and an investigation is under-way.
