Officers investigating a serious assault and theft in Tanyfron Wrexham have arrested a man from the Wrexham area.

The incident took place early Tuesday morning, the 15th October, in the Park Road area of Tanyfron.

The male victim sustained significant, but not life threatening injuries.

Police and forensics teams in white suits were seen by residents on Park Road, with a police cordon in place for a period of time. Door to door enquiries were also carried out at some nearby houses during investigation work.

Yesterday Detective Inspector Iolo Edwards said; “We are keen to trace a red Honda CRF450 motocross bike which was stolen from the location. We are also appealing for anyone with information relating to this matter to contact police on 101 or via the live chat quoting incident reference 19100597138.

Locally there have been concerns voiced on social media after the incident, with police keen to reassure the local community, “There is nothing to indicate a wider threat to the local community and police will be maintaining a visible presence within the community.”
