Two men have been detained in Johnstown following a pursuit yesterday evening.

A number of people contacted us yesterday regarding police activity in the area, with the police helicopter spotted hovering particularly over Johnstown and Rhos.

Shortly after 8:30pm the helicopter was spotted hovering over Johnstown, with residents also telling us they had spotted police ground unit activity in the area.

Another person told us that they has spotted officers interviewing people on Gutter Hill in Rhos.

Police activity was mentioned to us by Tom, who said “8 police cars at various locations between Kings and Ruthin Road” around the same time of the ‘pursuit’.

The National Police Air Service, who operate the police helicopters, said at 9:25pm that they had assisted North Wales Police in a search for suspects following a pursuit.

They added that two males were detained in Johnstown area and a vehicle was recovered.
