Male Sustains ‘Life Threatening Injuries’ Following Serious Collision

A male has sustained life threatening injuries following a collision involving two vehicles earlier this morning.

North Wales Police are now appealing for witnesses following a serious Road Traffic Collision on the A539 road at Overton close to the Cross Foxes Public House this morning, Friday 28th August 2015

North Wales Police Roads Policing Officer Sergeant Tony Gatley said: “Shortly before 7.40am this morning a road traffic collision took place on the A539 close to the Cross Foxes public house, Overton involving a blue and white Suzuki motorcycle and blue Fiat car resulting in the motorcyclist sustaining serious life threatening injuries.

“A full investigation will now take place and we’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote reference S131094.”

The road is closed in both directions and North Wales Police are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternate route whilst emergency services attend the scene and commence an investigation.
