This evening parts of Wrexham have suffered from low water pressure, with some consumers struggling to get information from Dee Valley Water.

Phillip reported ‘hardly any pressure in Holt’ , whereas Liam told us his supply had ‘gone lower in Farndon too’.

Several people in Rossett reported low pressure and others saying they had no water supply at all, Hannah saying: “Water has no pressure in Rossett, apparently can’t get hold of anyone.”

The Dee Valley Water site at the time had a status update dated April 1st reading “All our water supply systems are operating normally.”

Louise Rees tweeted us saying: “Dee Valley Water not answering phones! Just rang out for 15 mins!”

UPDATE: Some information has been provided, with the twitter user telling people to ‘call the main Dee Valley number, selected option for Control Room’ to get recorded message updates.

UPDATE 2: The latest update is from 11:15pm ‘leak found and being repaired, estimate 4-5 hours. Hopefully back by morning.’

UPDATE 3: Dee Valley Water have posted an updated on their website nine hours after the incident:
“During the night a main was repaired on Holt Road, Wrexham Near to Holt Lodge.
If you live in Holt, Farndon, Aldford, Churton, Buera, Rossett, Lavister, Pulford, Dodleston, Eccleston, Saighton & Lower Kinnerton Areas
After a main is repaired you may experience discoloured or aerated water, due to the interruption. If this occurs please run at your cold kitchen tap until clear.
