Road fully reopens after ‘collisions’ before Gresford turn off on A483

Update 4:30pm A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Monday 15 July at approximately 14:29 to reports of a road traffic accident on the A483 near the Gresford Roundabout.

“We responded with one ambulance and we were assisted by the Police service.

“One patient was transported by road ambulance to Maelor General Hospital, Wrexham.”

UPDATE 3:50pm Recovery of incident has taken place and has been cleared. Some queues remain in the area but things should return to normal before rush hour.

There are long delays this afternoon on the southbound A483 just before junction six, the Gresford Interchange.

Traffic Wales have published the above and below images, and said the queues are “due to collisions”, with one showing a HGV and another showing a car the wrong way off down an embankment.

Lane one is closed and Traffic Officers are on scene.
