Keen gardeners from Caia Park have been celebrated for their work at a special ceremony.

The event, which was held at the Wynnstay Hotel in Wrexham on October 5, recognised the winners of the Caia Park Environmental Group and Caia Park Community Council gardening competition.

Wrexham MP Ian Lucas has praised all those whose work made the gardening competition a success.

Mr Lucas who helped judge the competition, said: “Yet again the standard of gardens was very high – it is wonderful to see the pride that the people of Caia take in their gardens.

“The evening – and the whole competition – was wonderful. Everyone who helped make it a success should be very proud – I would like to thank Dorothy Mitchell, the Caia Park Environmental Group, and of course all those gardeners who took part.

“I’m looking forward to next year already.”
