A three week old kitten was found dumped in a carrier bag hanging from a tree on Holt Road in Wrexham last week.

The discovery was made by a member of the public last Tuesday.

The kitten is now in the care of the RSPCA who have described the incident as “a complete outrage” and appealed for further information.

RSPCA inspector Kia Thomas said: “This is a complete outrage. The kitten would surely have died if hadn’t been found so quickly. Young kittens need to be fed on milk every few hours and their mother’s presence is essential. It beggars belief that someone could act with such callous cruelty.

“Whoever did this showed a total disregard for their welfare and we appeal to the public to help find the person responsible.”

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the RSPCA cruelty and information line on 0300 123 8018. Calls will be treated in confidence.
