Construction firm JCB has announced that it will be taking on more than 40 new members of staff at its Wrexham plant due to rising global demand.

The transmissions plant on Wrexham Industrial Estate is one of the company’s seven UK factories which will receive a jobs boost.

JCB employs 500 people in Wrexham and they said that the expansion was due to healthy exports which account for 75% of business.

In March they announced a £2m investment in machine tools at the factory.

Overall they will recruit a total of 350 agency employees across the UK.
