Another car has been deliberately set alight in the early hours of this morning, possibly containing fireworks.

The fire service told Wrexham.com that they received a call at 5:33am, and one crew attended the incident alongside police.

The fire was set by Coed Aben in Caia, and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze

A spokesperson for the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the blaze is being treated as ‘deliberate ignition’.

One resident told us: “Police cars swarmed the place looking for whoever it was.”

It is possible the car contained fireworks, as we are told: “A bystander who was telling the police that fireworks were going off in the car all different colours. The bangs we heard were incredible!”
