Huge crowds gathered on Llwyn Isaf today to enjoy a glorious combination of sunshine, live music and a variety of delicacies courtesy of the Wrexham Food Festival.

Today was the first day of the annual Wrexham Food Festival, with large crowds of food lovers and visitors descending on the town centre throughout the day.

This year’s event saw collaborations with FOCUS Wales and Wrexham’s Carnival of Words – providing entertainment throughout the day for all those who took the opportunity to grab some food and sit outside in the sunshine.

This year’s Food Festival follows a similar format to previous years – with over 60 stalls situated in a huge marquee on Llwyn Isaf. This year there is also a ‘Real Ale Tent’ selling products from local brewers such as Big Hand Brewery, Hafod Brewing, Deva Craft Beer and Cwrw Ial.

Inside the main marquee there was a wealth of stalls to sample everything from locally made ice cream, home made chutneys, pork pies, homemade bread, confectionary, cakes and school dinners!

Outside the marquee proved a very popular place to grab some food and soak up some rays throughout the day. There was vast variety of stalls to get some lunch from this year – including Llandegla’s One Planet Adventure – the winner’s of this years Food Challenge (it’s well worth a try!)

Visitors to the town centre today also benefited from free car parking in all Council owned car parks – which seemed to go down a treat, with car parks packed throughout the day.
