Heavy downpours this afternoon has resulted in flash floods across parts of Wrexham.

The sudden downpours hit the town centre at around 4:30pm, however prior to that there were rumbles of thunder and even some lightning around Llangollen and Rhos.

There is standing water across many roads in Wrexham – particularly Llay New Road, Crispin Lane and Bradley Road in the town centre.

As you may expect, underneath Rhosddu Bridge has flooded, with traffic moving slower than usual near the bridge.

Old Wrexham Road to Chester and Marford Hill are also flooded.
