Water company Hafren Dyfrdwy is to start work on a £125,000 project next week.

The company is replacing aging water pipes on Kinnerton Road, to help provide the community with a reliable water supply for years to come.

Janine Billington from Hafren Dyfrdwy said: “It’s really important that our customers always have water they need it, which is why projects like this are so important.

“We need to make sure our network is in the best possible condition, and by replacing the older pipes with new ones, we’re making sure they’re less likely to burst and cause any problems for anyone.”

Work is expected to begin on 3rd November and will be completed by the end of December.

The company will be replacing the pipes on Kinnerton Road starting at the junction, and working towards the junction with Lower Mountain Road.

Janine added: ““We know there’s never a good time to close roads, but to keep our teams and other roads users safe, we will be having to close sections of Kinnerton Road.

“We’re really sorry in advance for any disruption this may cause and we will be working as quickly as possible to make sure the road is open as soon.

“However, when our work is complete, the area will be able to benefit from the new water pipes, that will make sure they have a reliable water supply for years to come.”
