Groundwork North Wales recently celebrated the fantastic work carried out by its volunteers with an afternoon tea at Venue in the Park, Alyn Waters.

The organisation took the opportunity to mark the occasion during Volunteers Week, which took place at the start of the month.

Volunteers across Groundwork North Wales and its subsidiaries (Refurbs Flintshire, Wild Ground, Pedal Power) were invited to the event to mark the occasion.

All the volunteers in attendance were thanked by Karen Balmer CEO and Lorna Crawshaw – Head of Programmes and Partnerships and presented with a certificate and small gift in recognition of all their hard work and dedication.

Speaking about the celebration, Karen Balmer CEO said: “The volunteers bring so much to our organisation; skills, advice, experience but the time that they choose to give freely is so valuable particular as it is the most precious commodity in all our lives.

If you are interested in volunteering locally then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Groundwork North Wales are passionate about volunteering and offer lots of opportunities in many different areas.

You can find out more information on volunteering with us through the website on Facebook @GwkNorthWales or by getting in touch directly on 01978 757 524 | [email protected] and ask about volunteering.
