The Job Centre was evacuated with large crowds seen congregating on Grosvenor Road.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: We had a call from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service at about 4.10pm to reports of a small fire at the Job Centre on Grosvenor Road, Wrexham.

“An emergency ambulance is currently in attendance at the scene.”

One person told us at the scene: “The fire alarm sounded so there was a full prompt evacuation of all staff. We do not know what has happened.”

Although fire crews accessed a hydrant in the road and were equipped with breathing apparatus, it did appear more precautionary.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has since confirmed there was no fire at the property and was due to ‘steam’ from a tank in the property.
