Five people detained and two firearms recovered after armed police attend ‘incident’ in Penycae

Armed officers attending a property in Delfryn, Penycae have recovered two firearms.

Police have confirmed that three men and two women have been detained for offences associated with the incident.

Local officers will remain in the area as the property continues to be searched, however there are no ongoing concerns for public safety.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Thanks to the local community for your information and assistance.

Original: North Wales Police say there is no cause for public concern, as armed officers attend an address in Penycae this morning.

A short statement reads, “We are currently dealing with an incident in Delfryn, Penycae.

“There is no cause for public concern, however please avoid the area whilst officers deal safely with the incident.

“Thank you for your cooperation.”
