The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service took part in an unusual rescue at a town centre store.

Three police cars and a fire crew attended B&M Bargains in Wrexham yesterday evening after reports of two individuals on the roof of the store.

The special platform unit was used to reach the roof, taking the two people down safely one by one.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called to the Central Retail Park at 6:29pm and an aerial ladder was used.

The Central Retail Park store has been home to B&M Bargains since September last year when they took over the entire PC World and Au Naturale units on the retail park.
