An environmental action day is to take place in Brymbo this week.

The event which will take place on Wednesday 21st May will involve Wrexham County Borough Council working with North Wales Police and the Fire Service coming together to offer advice and practical help to local residents.

A skip will be placed on Dyke Street to enable residents to dispose of large bulky items. It is expected that this will be regularly emptied throughout the day.

Councillor Paul Rogers who is working with the Broughton Housing Estate office to lead event will available throughout the day to answer any queries or concerns residents have on local matters.

Cllr Rogers said: “We will be providing opportunities for local residents to dispose of any unwanted items. “Myself along with Housing officers, the Fire Service and North Wales Policd will also be available throughout the day to discuss issues with residents and provide advice where possible”

“This is a good way to help tidy the community, which reduces community safety issues and fire risks, as well as to find out off residents what issues there are and how we can help. I look forward to this being a very successful event for the village”.

The event is also being supported financially by Brymbo Community Council.

Anyone wishing to get involved or who may need help with any large items can contact the Broughton Housing Estate Office on 01978 722020 or Councillor Paul Rogers at [email protected]
