Woman hit by school bus in Coedpoeth

Update: The road has since reopened. The school has issued a message to parents saying: “The school bus was involved in a minor accident on the way to the school this afternoon. No pupils were on board at the time and all have headed home on a replacement bus.”

Emergency services are currently in attendance at the A525 in Coedpoeth after a woman was hit by a bus.

The incident has taken place near Ysgol Bryn Tabor Primary school.

One lane is closed and there are currently delays in the area, with a bus pulled half off the road.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at shortly before 3.40pm this afternoon to reports a woman had been hit by a bus outside Ysgol Bryn Tabor on Heol Maelor, Coedpoeth.

“A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance are currently at the scene.

“A woman has been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.”

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed they were called to the scene at 3:38pm following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a bus and there are “no serious injuries”.
