A number of homes across the Wrexham area have been left without electricity this evening.

An ‘electrical fault in the network’ has resulted in homes in the Cefn Mawr area, particularly those in Cae Gwilyn Lane, Heol Y Plas and the surrounding streets.

The power went off in the area shortly before 6pm this evening and is expected to be restored by around 8:45pm.

Details on the SP Energy Network website states: “Our emergency response teams have been alerted and will be making their way to site to restore your electricity supply by 8.45PM. Should this information change on arrival, every effort will be made to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
