A crash closed part of the A483 bypass for several hours overnight.

The crash stopped traffic on the A483 southbound just before the ‘B&Q’ Roundabout / Mold Road turn off from just before 11pm until the early hours of this morning.

Two cars are believed to be involved, with one off the road on its side. Two people were taken to hospital after the incident.

Original information below:
Jamie sent us the below picture saying: “Traffic stand still on A483, before B&Q turn off. No sure what’s happened, lots of police, fire & ambulance”

Ben told us the incident occurred just before 11pm referring to a ‘big crash’.

As of 11:13pm traffic is being allowed through with one lane closed off.

It appears the lane open was to filter off traffic, with North Wales Police saying at 11:18pm “RTC – A483 Southbound – prior to Junction 5. Road closed. Cars being diverted off Gresford turning.”

Thanks to Liz for the top picture of the emergency services at the scene, and the above picture.

More shortly.
