Couple Attacked With Metal Bar In Aston Grove

A couple were attacked around 1am on Aston Grove by youths with a metal bar. The man and woman who had enjoyed an evening out at Eagles Meadow at the cinema were walking home.

While walking down Aston Grove just outside of town two youths armed with a metal bar came from behind attacking and mugging the couple.

One of the victims who wished to stay anonymous, said it was “Very frightening” and advised people to “stay safe, be careful and get a taxi. These thugs dont care who they attack or how they hurt you.”

Emergency services were called and police attended.
