Wrexham Association Football Club owners-elect Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have held an introductory call with representatives from Wrexham Council.

Due to the pandemic the new owners are yet to set foot in Wrexham, however have assured fans they will be in town as soon as it is safe to.

Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, who spoke with the new owners last night said, “We congratulate both Rob and Ryan on their wise investment and thank them for the positivity they have shown throughout the process.”

“This included early discussions yesterday with both myself and Ian Bancroft, and it is clear there is a real commitment and enthusiasm to be part of both the development of the Football Club, Town, and the wider County”

Ian Bancroft, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted how quickly Rob and Ryan made contact with us and this provides a great basis for working together for the benefit of the football club and Wrexham.
