Construction is underway at a new living development in Malpas for those aged 60 and over.

Apartments at the development, located on The Cedars, will be available for off-plan sales in late Spring 2020, with the first homeowners expected to be welcomed in the Autumn 2020.

The Malpas Retirement Living Development, which is being overseen by McCarthy and Stone, will feature 21 luxury one and two bedroom low maintenance apartments.

McCarthy and Stone say its retirement living communities are designed to enable the over 60s to maintain an active and independent lifestyle, in a safe and secure environment, with features such as social lounges, landscaped gardens and hotel-style guest suites all included to help retirees live their later years to the full.

Fiona Brooks, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone North West, said: “Our upcoming development in Malpas has already attracted significant levels of early interest from the local community who are seeking the privacy and independence that comes with owning your own home, but with all the benefits of living in a secure development surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals.

“McCarthy and Stone is committed to designing flexible homes which reflect the character of the neighbourhood, while also allowing people to make the most of their retirement years and live as independently as possible – for as long as possible.

“With construction now underway, we will soon be announcing details of sales information events, so now is a good time for retirees in Malpas to get in touch and register their interest so they can be among the first to receive any updates and event invitations.”

The Retirement Living development at Malpas will feature two one-bedroom apartments and 19 two-bedroom apartments. Residents will have access to a homeowners’ lounge, designed for socialising with new neighbours, landscaped gardens maintained by McCarthy and Stone’s team, and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.

A house manager will take care of the running of the development, as well as a 24 hour emergency call system in every apartment should assistance be needed day or night.

Malpas will be hosting a Discovery Day on 13th November at Carden Park Golf Resort in Cheshire. Starting at 2pm, the day will include a 45 minute presentation and a chance to chat to sales consultants about the upcoming development.
