Police are appealing for witnesses to a road rage incident which left one person with facial injuries.

The assault happened sometime between 8:40am and 9:10am on Wednesday 24th December on the dual carriageway link road which runs between Holt and Wrexham town, just after the Borras Roundabout.

The incident, which left the victim suffering a cut under his right eye, involved a red Audi A3 and a silver Mercedes.

PC 3048 Mark Sherratt said: “The victim claims to have seen two vehicles drive past during the assault. Neither stopped but hopefully, as Christmas Eve is a significant date, the drivers of these vehicles may recall seeing the incident.

“We would urge them to come forward and provide us with an account which could shed light on the events of that morning.”

Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to call PC Sherratt on 101quoting reference RC14200487.
