Festive cheer has arrived in a town centre arcade thanks to a Christmas tree donation from a local contractor.

The tree, complete with lights and baubles, was given to traders in the South Arcade on Chester Street by Wynne Construction – who are currently working on the Tŷ Pawb development in the former Peoples Market.

Cllr Terry Evans, Lead Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “The arcade looks very festive and I would like to thank Wynne Construction for taking the time and making the effort to join in the seasonal spirit here in Wrexham town centre”

Alison Hourihane, Business and Community Development Manager said: “We are delighted to have donated a Christmas tree to the South Arcade and add some festive cheer to the mall. We would like to thank the shop owners for their patience and support during the ongoing development of Tŷ Pawb”
