Child Hospitalised Following Rhosddu Collision

A child has been hospitalised following a collision in Rhosddu earlier this morning.

Shortly before 8:30am this morning there were reports of a road traffic collision in the Rhosddu area, with Christine telling us that police directing traffic away from the area.

Another person told Wrexham.com: “Rhosddu Road getting directed by police, one ambulance and 2 police cars. Not sure what’s happened. White car pulled over.”

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.18am to reports of a road traffic accident involving a pedestrian on the junction of Bryn Y Glyn and New Road in Wrexham.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a child was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The road reopened at 9:15am – with PC Thomas Hough tweeting the below:
