A vehicle has been destroyed after it was torched late last night.

Fire crews were called to a car fire on in Johnstown at 10:46pm last night night. Hours before at 7:20pm an incident took place on the same street.

The incident occurred by Offa Street and Merlin Street, just off the High Street.

A crew from Johnstown attended the scene and one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus were used. The fire was out shortly after 11pm.

We are told “it was all dealt with very quickly” by the fire service.

The car was left with 100% fire damage and was destroyed.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue service said the blaze was caused by deliberate ignition.
