An air ambulance is in attendance at a ‘serious collision’ on the Horseshoe Pass.

The Horseshoe Pass is currently closed both ways due to an accident on the B5103 (Llangollen) and A5104 (Llandegla).

It is reported that a car has left the carriageway and is down an embankment.

Shortly after 11:30am this morning North Wales Police tweeted to say: “Serious RTC on the Horseshoe Pass. Road closed. Please avoid the area.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at about 10.45am by North Wales Police to reports that a car had left the road on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen.

“The Wales Air Ambulance and an emergency ambulance are currently in attendance at the scene.”
