A car failed to stop last night close to Caia Park, with a man who left the vehicle without being caught.

We had a number of people get in touch last night alerting us of police activity in and around Caia Park, including the use of the police helicopter. One sent us the above picture, believed to be of the abandoned car.

One local resident said the incident occurred closed to Trevenna Way in Caia Park, close to Holt Road, “There was a police chase and the police smashed into the car near the Venture and then the car was dumped”.

North Wales Police have said that at 23:25 last night the police received reports of a vehicle failing to stop on Holt Road. The car was abandoned and a man ‘decamped’.

The police helicopter and police on the ground looked for the man, however no one has been arrested.

Police have said “enquiries are continuing”.
