It’s time to batten down the hatches  – there’s a weather warning in place for strong winds tomorrow!

The yellow weather warning, which has been issued by the Met Office, will be in place from 9am on Wednesday morning until 7am Thursday morning.

The warning covers all of Wales, with gusts of up to 70mph expected in some places.

A Chief Forecaster’s Assessment about the weather warning, states: “Gusts of 65 to 70 mph are expected along exposed coasts and over high ground such as the mountains of Wales, the Moors of SW England and the Pennines. Gusts of 50 mph are likely more widely.

“Winds will gradually ease from the west during the night, finally easing from the far SE of England around dawn on Thursday.”

There is also a weather warning in place for heavy rain across parts of the north Wales coast.

While there is no warning in place for Wrexham, current forecasts for tomorrow show rain throughout the day, particularly between 8am and 10am.

Temperatures are also set to remain mild at 13C.

There’s good news for those going to the Christmas Light Switch On this Thursday – with clear and dry weather forecast throughout the day and evening!
