A Barnardo’s pop-up shop will open its doors to the public for the first time today.

The charity shop, which is located on Eagles Meadow, had been due to celebrate its grand opening earlier this year. However that pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Portia-Hope Kitney, manager of the new Barnardo’s pop-up store in eagles meadow, is encouraging people to visit the shop when it opens from 10am this morning.

She said: “Pre-lockdown we should have had our grand opening, but because of Lockdown we will now just be opening the store with no announcements or fan fair.

“Everyone is welcome to join us, although we are keeping the store to a 15 person capacity due to social distancing.

“Barnardo’s is a UK based children’s charity, helping young and vulnerable children and family’s in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“The money raised in our store, stays in the local area, You can find Barnardos run and maintained groups in and around the Wrexham area, supporting our most vulnerable service users.”

The Barnardo’s pop-up on Eagles Meadow will open to the public at 10am this morning.
