Attempted Vehicle Break-in on Penybryn
A car window has been damaged following what is thought to have been an attempted break-in outside a property in Wrexham Town Centre.
Earlier this morning Wrexham.com were contacted by the owner of the vehicle, who told us that sometime after 11pm last night an attempt was made to break into a Vauxhall Insignia parked outside her home.
It is believed the offender tried to break into the vehicle using a crow bar – resulting in the damage to the window seal as pictured in the featured image and below.
The car owner, who contacted Wrexham.com this morning said: “I can’t believe it, I’m totally shocked. Lots of groups of men walk past a lot in this area. Such a shame it’s made me feel really unsafe in this area now.”
The incident is one of several break-ins/attempted vehicle break-ins to take place around Wrexham in recent weeks.
On the 6th of September an appeal for information was launched after damage was caused to the window of a car in the Maesgwyn Road area. The incident is believed to have taken place between 7pm on Saturday 5th September & 11am on the Sunday 6th September
The crime reference number for the Maesgwyn Road incident is S136391.
Yesterday Wrexham.com also reported on the theft of several items from a vehicle in Rhos, along with criminal damage caused to a second vehicle in the area.
