‘Armed Police’ Attend Incident in Caia Park

‘Armed police’ were seen briefly attending an incident in at Caia this evening, that ended safely around an hour later.

Update: Police have now left the area, with local residents telling us there appeared to be concern relating to a possible air rifle. One man appeared to be detained.

There are reports of a heavy police presence in the Caia Park area just before 9pm this evening, with one person telling us that ‘armed police’ and officers arrived in the area at around 8:45pm.

Another person has told us that Montgomery Road is currently closed and that there are ‘around seven police cars’ in the area.

The police helicopter has also been seen hovering over the area.
