An appeal for information after an electric bike was stolen from outside a local hotel.

The theft took place sometime between 8pm and 10pm on Friday 3 September at the Travel Lodge in Rhostyllen.

Police say the bike had been chained up but offenders cut through the fence it was attached to.

The electric bike, which was essential travel for a member of staff, had only recently been purchased.

Wrexham Town Inspector Luke Hughes said: “Anyone who saw any suspicious activity I would urge to contact us, or if anyone has been offered the bike we would very much like to hear from you, please contact on 101 or via our webchat facility quoting 21000614723.”
