Appeal for witnesses after crash between cyclist and vehicle in Ruabon

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision between a cyclist and a vehicle this afternoon.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the incident near Ysgol Rhiwabon at around 3:30pm.

North Wales Police say is believed the cyclist was travelling downhill from Penycae towards Ruabon when the collision occurred with a small blue vehicle which was parked at the time.

The male cyclist was riding a black and yellow Trax mountain bike.

Anybody who saw the collision or may have been travelling along this road (B5097) at this time, or who may have dashcam footage along the route is encouraged to call police on 101 quoting reference number Y101824
