Appeal After ‘Suspicious Male’ Seen In Caergwrle

South Flintshire Policing Team are appealing for information following a report of a male acting suspiciously in the Hawarden Road area of Caergwrle.

The incident occurred at around 11.40 am on 24th August. A male was reported to have knocked on a number of doors, and then gone to the rear of properties. When a Police car drove past he appeared to try to hide.

He was described as male, aged around 20 years, 5ft 10, average build, short hair.

Police say: “Did you see anything suspicious? If you have any information please contact North Wales Police by dialling 101 quoting the reference number S128943.

In a separate incident police are appealing for information after a ‘suspicious cold caller’ in the Pantymwyn area. At around 1400 hrs on Monday a male called at an address in the Pen Y Fron Road area of Pantymwyn and spoke with the resident.

The caller stated that he had spoken with the residents husband and that he had agreed to purchase a power washer. Thankfully, the occupant insisted that she check with her husband. On checking, it was established that the husband had not agreed to purchase a power washer. The cold caller left the property.

The cold caller was described as male, in his 40’s, Irish accent. He left in a dark blue/grey Volkswagen Tiguan/Touareg vehicle.
