Police are appealing for information after a young boy was knocked over by a cyclist who failed to stop.

The incident happened on Sunday November 3 just before midday when the three year old boy, who was with his grandparent standing outside a Wrexham Maelor hospital entrance on the junction with Maesgwyn Road, was struck by a BMX bike being ridden by a youth.

The youth, aged about 13 with shoulder length brown hair, came out of the hospital grounds at speed and collided with the little boy, apologised to the grandparents, but failed to stop. The little boy was not seriously hurt.

Police are appealing for the youth to come forward and for anyone with information to call police on 101. Reference RC13183270.
