Appeal after car door handles tried and BMW stolen in Bwlchgwyn

An appeal has been launched after reports of car door handles being tried in the Bwlchgwyn area last weekend.

It comes after a BMW was stolen from the village on Saturday 10 February.

The vehicle was later recovered on Mount Zion, Brymbo.

NWP Wrexham Rural say that there has since been three further reports of a person entering vehicles and/or trying car door handles in Bwlchgwyn over the weekend.

A spokesperson for NWP Wrexham Rural said: “We recently sent out an appeal in relation to a theft of a BMW from the Bwlchgwyn area on Saturday 10 February.

“Since this appeal we have been made aware of a further three reports of a person entering vehicles and/or trying car door handles in Bwlchgwyn over the weekend.

“We are once again asking residents in and around the Bwlchgwyn area to check CCTV/ring doorbell footage from over the weekend (9-12 February) for any suspicious persons/vehicles, in particular in the early hours of Sat 10th Feb (from 01:00-03:00).”
