Police appeal after motorcycle crash that closed A483 by Johnstown

UPDATE: The road has fully reopened as of 9pm.

UPDATE: The northbound A483 remains closed for investigation work however the southbound has reopened.

Police have said this evening “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A483 northbound J2 (Johnstown) at 1655hrs today involving a motorcycle. The road remains closed at this time.

“If you have any information please call on 101 ref X096824. Thank You.”

Part of the A483 is closed off this rush hour due to an incident, believed to be a traffic collision.

The incident has occurred close to Junction 2 of the A483, the turning for Johnstown, with several reports that emergency services are focused on the area immediately by the sliproad.

The air ambulance attended the incident and landed on the carriageway itself at 5:09pm that is believed to have involved a motorcyclist, with the incident taking place just before 5pm.
