Updated: Baby taken to Maelor Hospital after medical emergency in Llay

Update 3pm – The Welsh Ambulance Service have told us: “We were called today at approximately 11.45am to a medical emergency in the Llay area of Wrexham.

“We responded with one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and air ambulance where a baby was treated at scene and conveyed by road to Maelor General Hospital, Wrexham.”

The Wales Air Ambulance landed in Llay this lunchtime to help emergency services at the scene of an incident on First Avenue.

The helicopter returned to base just after 1pm.

Two ambulances, a police car and a doctor’s vehicle were also seen attending.
